Who this track is for
The Early-Career Accelerated track is designed for recent graduates who want a focused experience that will augment their credentials with a master’s degree in a high-demand field. Students typically aim to:
- Develop expertise in a specific area through one specialization
- Gain applied experience rapidly through a required Practicum
- Enter the workforce with targeted skills ready for immediate impact
Structure and requirements
This 40-credit track balances core learning with elective coursework in one in-demand specialization. Key elements include:
- Core courses: Four foundational courses in information management
- Specializations: Option to select one specialization; additional specializations possible with added credits
- Applied experiences: A required Practicum internship, faculty-directed research project or sponsored project that demonstrates applied skills and readiness for professional roles
Typical pathway through the program
Coursework is sequenced with core courses first, followed by specialization and applied experiences, culminating in the Practicum. The track can be completed in as little as one year of full-time study. Online students have flexibility to study part-time.
