Informatics Admissions Timeline

The Informatics program has two admissions cycles per year:

  • The application to start the program in Winter 2024 will open on Sept. 8, 2023, with a deadline of Oct. 6, 2023. 
  • The application to start the program in Autumn 2024 will open in March 2024, with a deadline of early April 2024.

Admit for:  Winter 2024
Prerequisites completion deadline: End of Summer Quarter 2023 or Summer Semester 2023
Informatics application opens: September 8, 2023
UW transfer application deadline (transfer applicants only): September 1, 2023 (transfer students will need to apply to UW Seattle as well as to the Informatics major)
Informatics application deadline: October 6, 2023, 5 p.m. PT
Informatics admissions decisions conveyed:  November 17, 2023, around 3 p.m PT
Reply deadline: November 27, 2023, at NOON PT

Note: Office hours for the Information School are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time Monday-Friday. Staff from these offices will not be available outside of these times to answer questions.
