Informatics Admissions Timeline

The Informatics program has two admissions cycles per year:

  • The application to start the program in autumn has a deadline of April 5 each year.
  • The application to start the program in winter has a deadline of Oct. 5 each year.
  • If the application deadline falls on a weekend, the deadline to apply will be the following Monday at 5 p.m.
  • Transfer students should also complete a UW transfer application for the quarter they wish to enter the program.

Admit for: Autumn 2026
Prerequisites completion deadline:End of autumn semester 2025 and winter quarter 2026
Informatics application opens:March 1, 2026
UW transfer application deadline (transfer applicants only):Feb. 15, 2026 (transfer students will need to apply to UW Seattle as well as to the Informatics major)
Informatics application deadline:April 6, 2026, 5 p.m. PT
Informatics admissions decisions conveyed: 

May 8, 2026, around 3 p.m PT

Reply deadline:May 22, 2026, at noon PT
