Board, faculty discuss tech impact on libraries at SPL

The Seattle Public Library is hosting a free event on the morning of Saturday, May 8, about technology and its impact on the future of libraries. The iSchool's Master of Science in Information Management (MSIM) program chair and senior lecturer Michael Crandall is one of the panelists. Crandall is one of the principal investigators on a recent study examining public access to computing and its impact on individuals, families and communities.

Other panelists are Vanessa Fox, Debbie Cook and Monica Guzman. Fox and Guzman are members of the iSchool's advisory board for the MSIM and Bachelor of Science in Informatics programs. During the event the panelists will discuss the questions How has technology changed the way information is searched, organized, delivered? and How do we ensure information in all formats is available to everyone?
