In April 2026, Tessa Rose began working as a curator at Setting Sun Circle (SSC), an Indigenous-led interpretive storytelling and art space in Bellingham, WA. She previously spent 13 years as a curator at the Hibulb Cultural Center on the Tulalip reservation before entering the Information School's iPhD program in 2020. She credits the iSchool's Center for Advances in Libraries, Museums, and Archives (CALMA) as a key reason she accepted the new position, and continues her dissertation work alongside a graduate student advisory role with the UW Center for American Indian & Indigenous Studies Board for the next academic year.
