Partnerships are instrumental to the iSchool’s tremendous success, both locally and internationally. They are built around common areas of interest – research funding, project based collaborations, student recruitment and engagement, and continuing education.
The UW receives more federal research funding than any other American public university, a ranking held since 1974. The iSchool has received more than $10 million in grants since 2010. Grants from foundations and private industry fund critical information research.

The iSchool partners with companies, non-profits and government organizations to fund mutually beneficial research, provide learning and career opportunities for students through our job board, and advise on curriculum matters. Many partners become members of the iAffiliates Program to customize their involvement.
