Share your industry expertise with future information professionals through classroom talks or interactive workshops with iSchool students.

Time frame: Anytime. Your name and information will be shared with relevant instructors.

Commitment: 1-2 hours

Coffee Chats Program

Engage in informal, one-on-one conversations with students to discuss career paths, industry trends and professional development.

Time frame: Quarterly

Commitment: 30 minutes per session

Participate in moderated discussions showcasing your company’s work, roles and culture.

Sponsor a Capstone Project

 

Virtual

Partner with a team of 3-4 students as they tackle a real-world project aligned with your organization’s needs. Capstone projects offer innovative solutions while providing students with hands-on, practical experience.

Time frame: January-June

Commitment: 4-5 hours per month

Sign up: First week of November

iMentorship Program

 

Virtual

Provide one-on-one guidance to students and help them navigate their career journeys. Mentorship sessions focus on career growth topics, such as job searching, networking and leadership development.

Time frame: January-June

Commitment: 5-10 hours total

Direct Admit Student Support

 

In-person and virtual

Share your industry expertise with students in the iSchool’s direct-to-major admission program through guest speaking or running a workshop in INFO 290 (Orientation to Informatics).

Time frame: Winter

Commitment: 1-2 hours
