Sandy Littletree and co-author Charlene Krise’s paper titled “The Squaxin Island Museum Library and Research Center: A Report from the Field of Tribal Libraries and Museums” was published in International Journal of Librarianship. Charlene Krise is an enrolled tribal member of the Squaxin Island Tribe and Executive Director of the Squaxin Island Tribe Museum Library Resource Center (MLRC).
Miranda Belarde-Lewis served as guest faculty during the “Keywords” presentations of the Venice Indigenous Arts School, presenting a term intended to help shape the future of Native art history. The Venice Indigenous Arts School, hosted by the Institute of American Indian Arts, was in partnership with Jeffrey Gibson, the first Native American artist to be featured in the U.S. Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
