Ricardo Gomez’s LatinX @ UW is now available on amazon.com. The book presents a tapestry of images and stories of LatinX faculty, students, and staff at the University of Washington. Proceeds from the sale of this book will support scholarships for LatinX undocumented students at UW.

Hala Annabi and Sarah Lebovitz had their article Improving the retention of women in the IT workforce: An investigation of gender diversity interventions in the USA  published in ISJ (Information Systems Journal). This week Nature Magazine reported it in the article Isolation and alienation force women from technology positions.  

Susan Hildreth is on the board of the Library of Congress Literacy Awards. The awards program honors organizations that have made outstanding contributions to increasing literacy in the United States or abroad. If you know an organization that could apply, the 2018 application is now available online.

This week, Library Journal featured Susan in the article, Susan Hildreth: Bridging LIS and Practice | Learning in Practice. The article highlights her time in the iSchool as the inaugural Distinguished Practitioner in Residence.
