Then you’ve come to the right place!
People, Information, Technology
The Full-Time MSIM (Master of Science in Information Management) degree option complements a bachelor’s degree in business, arts or sciences by opening new doors for career possibilities in any information-related field. Our information management degree program focuses on the intersection between people, information, and technology, in order to prepare you to develop, implement, and manage systems and networks of information to meet the needs of organizations of all types and sizes.
Flexible Course Schedules
Full-Time MSIM core classes are offered during the traditional Monday through Friday schedule. However, some electives are offered in evenings and on Saturday mornings, to provide maximum flexibility. Additional electives are required, and an internship is strongly recommended as part of completion of this degree program, providing both in-depth knowledge and practical experience in areas of student interest.
Focused Learning with Specializations
In addition to the core curriculum, students may choose to focus their electives in specialization areas (one for 1-year students, or two for 2-year students), or may choose electives across the breadth of the curriculum for a broad-based degree in information management. Learn about specializations you can choose in the Information Management degree program.
1 year or 2 years
The 1-year, Full-Time MSIM program is well-suited for recent graduates who wish to augment their skills and credentials with a master's degree in a high-demand field, or for those who are able to take a year away from work to focus on earning their master's degree. Meanwhile, the 2-year Full-Time MSIM gives students more breadth and depth in their educational experience, and the opportunity to add a second specialization. The 2-year program requires a minimum of 65 credits, while the 1-year program requires a minimum of 40. See degree plans.
Enrollment in the Full-Time MSIM degree program is open to domestic and international applicants. Applicants to this program need not have prior experience in the information field, and applications are welcomed from any undergraduate degree background.
