With so much information being shared online and on social media during the pandemic and protests, how do we weed out the misinformation from the facts in our newsfeeds? Is it possible to improve access to reliable sources? What ways can we rethink information distribution to stop the spread of misinformation? And what kinds of local programs and services are communities creating to respond to today’s information overload?
KUOW’s All Things Considered host Kim Malcolm and Chris Coward, co-founder and principal investigator for the Center for an Informed Public and senior principal research scientist at UW's Information School will discuss ways we can rethink information distribution in an effort to stop misinformation from spreading.
