Mike Marlin
Since 2007, Mike has served as the Director and Regional Librarian for the California Braille and Talking Book Library in Sacramento, an affiliate of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. He continues to serve on the ALA Council as a Councilor at Large and was elected to a three-year term on the ALA Executive Board (2015-18), the first blind librarian and the first staff member of the California State Library to serve on the Board. His son and grandchildren live in the Seattle area, and he fodly recalls his days in the Northwest. If you have a reference query or need comic relief, check out his guide dog on Facebook: Vivaldi: Guide Dog Extraordinaire, Canine Librarian.
