As of 2026, Mary has published the second book in her Della Waters Archival Mystery series, Blood in the Archives, a prequel novella to The Traveling Archivist. She has also released a zine on conducting archival research and is currently recording audiobook versions of her novels. She reports: "The most frequent feedback I get from readers is that first they didn't know how important archives were, and second, they didn't know that they could access them. It really is the best and most unexpected outreach I have ever done."
