The company’s initial focus is payroll and financial visibility, areas where inefficiencies and compliance risks can have significant consequences.
Today, OpsFrame has advanced beyond the MVP stage and is now in user validation. Its journey reflects both innovation and perseverance. As a first-generation graduate, Elongo built the company without inherited networks, generational wealth, or a traditional entrepreneurial roadmap. Instead, he relied on determination, lived experience, and a commitment to solving real challenges facing small businesses. OpsFrame is more than a startup; it is a testament to resilience and the power of solutions shaped by firsthand experience.
At the University of Washington Information School, Elongo used coursework and research opportunities to develop and validate the ideas behind OpsFrame. A data-focused course with Professor Nitin Bhat and a Capstone project examining small-business operational inefficiencies helped shape the company's vision and foundation. Since graduating, Elongo has remained engaged with the iSchool community, gathering feedback from small-business owners, developers, and designers while continuing to seek guidance from Professor Bhat. This mentorship has helped refine OpsFrame's vision, strengthen its growth strategy, and translate academic insights into a practical solution for small businesses.
