Michelle H. Martin and Nadia Mansour published an article in the online journal Barnboken titled, “What Can Danish Multicultural Children’s Literature and African American Children’s Literature Learn from Each Other?: Literary Histories in Dialogue.” Barnboken is an international open access journal published by the Swedish Institute for Children’s Books.
Chris Jowaisas, Stacey Wedlake, Matthew Houghton (City of Seattle), Meghan Sebold (City of Seattle), David Keyes (City of Seattle), and Ryan Davis (Seattle Jobs Initiative) were awarded a UW Population Health Initiative COVID-19 economic recovery research grant of $18,699 for their project “Exploring Physically Distant Technology Access and Assistance to Support Workers in a New Economy.”

Jason Yip and Jin Ha Lee received a $116,205 gift from Pivotal Ventures through Connected Camps to support their work on a collaborative project with the Connected Learning Lab, the National Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF), and the Seattle Public Library. The proposed work aims to develop a mental, social, and emotional wellness intervention program for esports players ages 13-24.
