Law Librarianship
Over the course of four consecutive quarters in the Law Librarianship Program you can learn to bring your background in law together with powerful new skills and theoretical lenses that will transform your career. School Library Media Endorsement
Students interested in pursuing careers as teacher librarians in K-12 public schools typically must have a teaching certificate and Library Media Endorsement. At the University, we have designed a suggested series of courses for folks pursuing the Endorsement after they complete their MLIS degree. This prepares you for the required Washington state WEST-E exam. If you live outside of Washington state, check into your own state's requirements for obtaining an endorsement. This is a great option for you if you are interested in both an MLIS degree and the flexibility of working in a K-12 public or private school, or working with children and youth services in a public library or other setting.
