Biography

Dr. Moe has been in the higher education field since 2012 but launched his career coaching journey during his time as a Work and Family Life Consultant with the US Dept. of the Navy in 2017. While managing the Transition Assistance Program, he helped his clients identify career interests, create effective application packages, and learn effective job search strategies. He also worked with clients to build and optimize their networks, master interviewing strategies and techniques, practice salary negotiations, and successfully prepare for their transitions out of the military. Dr. Moe found this work so rewarding, that he wanted to continue career coaching after separating from military life. Dr. Moe is originally from Hawaii but moved to WA in 2019 after living in Italy for 3 years. Because of both life and educational experiences, Dr. Moe is committed to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) – coincidentally, he’s named after Star Wars (Luke Skywalker to be exact, and yes, he has a sister named Lea). Dr. Moe is also an avid volleyball player – his maternal grandfather was captain of the 1964- and 1968-Men’s Olympic Volleyball team. He regularly competes in tournaments and also coaches at one of the local volleyball clubs.
