Biography
Di Zhang is a librarian, instructional designer, writer and speaker who works in the intersection of information, instruction, and relationship building. He currently works as a faculty librarian at Renton Technical College, managing the instruction program for the RTC Library and leading college-wide Open Education initiatives. His passion projects include mentoring early-stage librarians through the Asian Pacific American Librarian Association (APALA), serving on the board of Action for Media Education, and writing a media literacy column for the South Seattle Emerald. Di received his MLIS from the UW iSchool and served as a CIP Community Fellow in 2024-2025. He currently teaches LIS 589 (Academic Librarianship) at UW.
