Biography

Siri Linz has been the Registrar and Collections Manager at the National Nordic Museum since November 2023. In this role, she manages 80,000 objects in the permanent collection, is responsible for accessioning and cataloging new acquisitions, directs intern and volunteer collections projects, and provides support for the temporary exhibitions at the museum, which includes: transit arrangements, insurance, and condition reporting. Prior to her role at the National Nordic Museum, Siri was the Assistant Archaeology Collections Manager at the Burke Museum from 2013-2023 and the Curation Services Coordinator from 2021-2023. In these roles, she collaborated with the Archaeology Collections Manager to oversee the delivery, processing, and care of archaeological collections that included more than 1 million objects from all over the world. Siri taught an archaeology collections management lab course in the UW Museology graduate program from 2014-2023. Siri is also a National Heritage Responder, a group of collections and conservation professionals who volunteer to help cultural institutions and the public with disaster response.
