Biography
Janak Rajani is a Guest Faculty at the University of Washington’s iSchool specialized in the teaching of Business Intelligence. He is working with the U.S. Federal Government since January-2002, most recently with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where he is the Chief for Enterprise Platforms Management managing platforms like SharePoint, Drupal, Appian, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Service Now, etc. Prior to joining the SEC, he worked within U.S. Army Research, as the Deputy Director and Chief Technology Officer.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, he also works as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus, Arizona State University, and Howard Community College - with focus on full-stack web development courses, database courses, and hardcore programming courses. He has been fortunate enough to have introduced several courses and have subsequently taught them. He really enjoys teaching, as he thinks he can bring a lot from the full-time experience gained over the past 30 years of working as a seasoned technology leader.
Apart from two M.S. degrees, he has completed a several graduate certificate courses with distinguished status in IT Project Management, IT Program Management, Chief Technology Officer, and Global Strategic Leadership from National Defense University. Finally, he is a distinguished graduate from 42nd Advanced Management Program, a resident fellowship program.
