Biography

As Director of the MLIS Law Librarianship program and Associate Teaching Professor, Carla ensures graduates are well prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving field and lead the profession into the future. Her research interests include public interest technology in law and organizational change, and she teaches courses on legal research methods, administration, and scholarly writing in the field.

Before joining the iSchool, Carla served as the Associate Dean for Law Library and Information Technology Services at the University of the District of Columbia’s David A. Clarke School of Law. She also served in various roles at Temple University Beasley School of Law Library, Georgetown University Law Center, and Northern Illinois University College of Law.
