Biography
Emem Ibok is a Guest Faculty Member for the MSIM Program at the University of Washington Information School. Outside academia, he is a Senior Procurement Analyst within Global Supply Chain & Integration at the Boeing Company. In this role, he leads efforts to leverage emergent technologies to address Boeing’s most pressing priorities, particularly traceability, reporting, and operational efficiency. Emem has expansive experience within various functional areas at Boeing, working in Propulsion Engineering, Finance (Systems and Analytics), and Contracts before settling into his current position.
Emem holds two degrees: a B.S. (cum laude) in Chemical Engineering from Howard University and—most recently—an M.S. in Information Management (PPMC specialization) from the University of Washington. Both degrees have been critical to his development in his corporate and external efforts.
Emem is also committed to supporting future leaders, particularly leaders of color. He founded and currently runs a private collegiate scholarship, launched in 2015. This scholarship, meant to offset the rising costs of education, provides one-time awards to exceptional graduating high school students from California/Washington attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
