Biography
Carla Wale holds a joint appointment as a Teaching Professor in the School of Law and the Information School. She also serves as the School of Law’s Associate Dean of Information and Technology, Director of the M.G. Gallagher Law Library, and Director of the Information School’s M.L.I.S. Law Librarianship program. Prior to joining the University of Washington, she served in various roles at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, Temple University Beasley School of Law, Georgetown University Law Center, and Northern Illinois University College of Law. Courses taught by Dean Wale include Technology Law and Public Policy, Legal Research Methods, Advanced Copyright Law, Copyright for Information Professionals, and Foundations of Law Librarianship. Her scholarship focuses on organizational leadership and the intersection of information, technology, and law.
