Amy J. Ko (Principal Investigator) and Anne Beitlers (UW College of Education), in partnership with the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, and Shoreline and Highline school districts, were awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Computer and Network Systems (CNS) grant for Justice-Focused Secondary CS Teacher Education. This project is an opportunity to transform how CS is taught in grades 6-12 throughout the country. Amy’s team will collaboratively write with teachers a free justice-focused CS teacher education book. The total award amount is $999,723, of which $900,846 will come to the iSchool.
