Harold Pham
Informatics, 2024
As of 2025, Harold joined Visa as a Software Engineer engaged in AI related development for our Acceptance Solutions strategy. He reports, "There is a lot to learn about how Visa operates, and how AI is used in such a large enterprise. Comparing public views versus internal views of what AI is or what it should be doing is going to be an ongoing and interesting line of personal research that I am paying attention to. I am excited to see where I can go with my experiences and capabilities working at Visa, all while positively contributing to how AI evolves the landscape!"

As of 2025, Hope was the Architecture & Design Project Archivist at the Oregon Historical Society.

As of 2023, Ria was pursuing her master's in information management and systems at UC Berkeley.
Nikki Atienza

As of 2024, Nikki became the first Teen Services Librarian at her branch. She was recognized as Employee of the Month for July for the whole library system and she attended her first ALA Annual this summer.
Alan Chan

As of 2024, Alan was leading the HR Risk and Compliance team at Microsoft. Alan reports: "We partner with our HR stakeholders to enable strategic priorities through proactive risk consultations, audit support, access consulting, controls monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to mitigate existing and emerging risks."

In 2023, Urvi started her first full-time job as a data scientist at Lumen.
Maile Chung
MLIS, 2023
In 2023, Maile moved from Seattle to Los Angeles to work at the UCLA Libraries in its Preservation & Conservation department. She works in the audiovisual area, working with all types of formats, including tape cassettes, open-reel audios and VHS tapes.
Olivia Davis

As of 2025, Olivia was a medical librarian at the Cleveland Clinic. She reports: "I never expected to end up in the health science world, but here I am! I am head of the Interlibrary Loan department, I am starting a quarterly newsletter, and have made strides to combat health misinformation/disinformation by creating easy to follow resources! I’m working towards getting my systematic review certification as well."
