As of 2021, Jess had recently been promoted to Director of Operations and Automation at Appen. Jess is leading a team that focuses on automating internal processes and reporting framework for Appen's Global Business Unit.

Harkar is working as a software development engineer at Amazon.
Ryan Tolnay
MLIS, 2019
As of 2021, Ryan was the Global Education, University Studies, and School of Individualized Study Liaison Librarian at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Vincent van der Muelen
Informatics, 2019
As of 2023, Vincent worked at Figma as a software engineer. He previously worked at a five-person AI design-tool startup, Diagram, which Figma acquired. Vincent spoke at Figma Config as part of the announcement.
Selene Wartell
Informatics, 2019
Selene is working as a software engineer for GitHub from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Barbara Williams
MLIS, 2019
Barbara worked in public libraries as a paraprofessional for about seven years, and after graduation in 2019 was promoted to an adult services librarian. In 2021, she accepted a job at Library of Michigan as a Library Development Analyst. She reports: "My MLIS has done so much to further my career. Without it, I was stuck in a paraprofessional position with out the possibility for growth."
Yuxing Wu

As of 2025, Yuxing earned her PhD in Informatics from Indiana University Bloomington, and joined Pennsylvania State University as an Assistant Teaching Professor.
Rosemary Adams

Rosemary and her husband, Brad Holland (Informatics '18) welcomed their first child, Emmett Adams, in October 2023.
Arthur Aguilera

In 2023, Arthur became an assistant professor, collection development & assessment librarian at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Stacey Akahoshi
MLIS, 2018
In 2025, Stacey started a new position as the Branch Coordinator III at Mesa Public Library. She manages the main branch location in downtown Mesa, Arizona. She was recently selected for the 2025 PLA Leadership Academy and has been appointed as conference co-chair for the 2025 and 2026 Arizona Library Association Conference.
