Paige Andrew
In September 2023, Paige was concluding an almost 37-year career as a maps cataloger. His first position a few months after graduating was at the University of Georgia Library, where he spent 8+ years learning how to catalog maps. He was hired by the Pennsylvania State University Libraries in February 1995. He earned tenure in 2001, was promoted to Librarian rank (equivalent to Professor) in 2012, and was named Distinguished Librarian in 2018.
He reports: "I am waiting word on whether I will be named an Emeritus Librarian, and hope that the university grants this honor. I look forward to the next stage of my life, including especially being a grandfather to our 9-month-old granddaughter as she grows up and maybe becomes a librarian some day too!"
