Alex Wade is a consultant and also serves as guest faculty in the UW iSchool MLIS program. Wade has spent much of his career working on open access, open science and academic knowledge graphs, including the Microsoft Academic Graph, Meta (Chan Zuckerberg Initiative), Semantic Scholar (Allen Institute for AI), and Dimensions (Digital Science). Wade has also held Systems Librarian, Engineering Librarian, Philosophy Librarian, and other library roles at the University of Washington, University of Michigan and UC Berkeley. Currently, Wade is working with the Center for Open Science to ensure preservation and access to federally funded research data, and with DataCite to improve linking and discoverability of research datasets. Wade holds an MLIS degree from the University of Washington.
