One Cup At A Time

Haiti Coffee Co. wanted to create a digital platform to connect the entire ecosystem including farmers, buyers, roasters, consumers, and investors who are interested in spreading awareness and supporting the recovery of Haiti’s coffee industry. To do so, we developed a custom Shopify Theme to enable each of these groups to better engage with Haiti Coffee. This includes tools to ease the build and design of a site, a platform for all target segments to engage with, and a way to better manage the different areas of business that our sponsor works with.

PATHS

PATHS is an Android application that explores and tackles misconceptions and common stereotypes about homelessness in Seattle. This project builds empathy with the homeless community using visual, interactive stories based on real events and issues that have been anonymized. By offering different perspectives in the lives and struggles of a homeless individual or someone who works closely with the homeless, PATHS guides users into other people’s shoes. With empathy, users will be better equipped to advocate, donate and engage with this systematic issue.

Persistent Disease Self Management Program: An online application to help people manage their chronic medical condition

Thousands of Seattle residents live with at least one chronic medical condition. We’ve developed an online application to help users learn more about managing their chronic condition. Currently, the Aging and Disability Services Office provides users with a static page to help them manage their condition. With our application, users complete a quick survey regarding their condition, and our application provides users lifestyle information on what they are doing well or need to improve regarding their condition. Users can print a history of their responses to take to a doctor for more informed care to increase their Quality of Life.

Produce Music

In the age of the solo bedroom producer, the art of music production has moved away from collaboration, towards competition. We believe that cultivating a community centered around growth can enable musicians to break through creative blocks while creating meaningful connections. Produce Music is a community platform by musicians for musicians, with the perfect tools for giving feedback, collaborating, and learning. The grand vision of Produce is to unite people through the power of music production, helping people intertwine their creative journeys while each developing their own, unique way to express their vision and emotions. Let's start creating together again.

Project Alive

In the age of ubiquitous information, museums are challenged with providing a unique and dynamic visitor experience. The Pacific Science Center, one of world’s leading science museums, is faced with a similar dilemma for its “Dinosaurs: Journey Through Time” exhibit. Project Alive employs Magic Leap One's spatial computing to simulate a mixed reality experience of the Mesozoic Era (252-66 million years ago) that is both immersive, and informative. Based on extensive user interviews and surveys, Project Alive incorporates elements of surprise and visual ecstasy within an interactive storyline that would truly bring the dinosaurs back to life.

RARET Web Platform

When road conditions get bad for everyone, they create even more extreme challenges for people with limited mobility who rely on public infrastructure to access much-needed medical services. Our platform, built for emergency managers in the various Counties of Puget Sound, directly addresses this issue by creating a centralized information platform that helps facilitate decision-making on which health center and transportation service to use. All the information needed for an emergency manager to guide a patient to a medical facility during emergency situations is available in one easy to use location, saving time when lives are potentially at stake.

Semantic Analysis

SEMANTIC ANALYSIS: The Smartsheet platform has large amounts of unstructured user feedback comments. So, the product owners at Smartsheet take a lot of time and effort to come up with actionable feedback. Our solution is a machine learning model which enables text classification of the comments by categorizing them into the following categories- Bugs/Performance, Formula, UX Integration, and UX Enhancement. The solution makes it easier to prioritize issues, delegate the requests to the concerned Product Owners, reduces the response time to user queries, and enhances the product features. TechMentor: Mentorship Management System

We are a mentorship management system that enables organizations such as companies and universities to build meaningful mentorship between their employees/alumni and the tech of tomorrow. Our system handles each step of organizing a mentorship program, right from inviting potential mentors and mentees to signup to matching them using our mentor-mentee matching recommendation system to introducing mentors and mentees to each other and checking in on their progress. The existence of such a platform will help ensure companies can quickly set up their own mentorship programs and make their contribution in giving back to the tech community.
