General Informatics Registration Policy

Informatics does not distribute add codes to overenroll classes at any time. Registration will be accessible to students as follows:

Period 1 Registration:

  • INFO 100-level and 200-level open to all UW undergraduates. (Exception: INFO 290 is available to INFO majors only)
  • All INFO 300-level and 400-level courses are open to INFO majors only.

Period 2 Registration:

  • INFO 490 & 491 remain open to INFO majors only.
  • Core INFO 300-level and 400-level courses are open to INFO majors only (only AUT & WIN).
  • Elective INFO courses are open to all UW undergraduate students (only AUT & WIN).
  • All other INFO courses are open to all UW students.

Period 3 Registration:

  • INFO 490 & 491 remain open to INFO majors only.
  • All other INFO courses are open to all UW students.

All UW Classes become add code restricted for the week following Period III Registration. Please note that not all courses will allow students to join beginning the second week of the quarter.
