Student Support for Faculty
The GA Crew is a group of graduate assistants available to assist faculty teaching for the iSchool. A GA can help set up course sites in our Canvas Learning Management System, order text books, retrieve books from the library or just provide another pair of eyes, ears and legs on campus. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and the GA crew help desk manager will connect you with an available assistant.
If your confirmation letter indicated you would be assigned TA help, please contact the assistant HR manager for information. If your course has a TA assigned, you may contact them directly after their start of employment, which is as follows:
- Autumn: September 16
- Winter: December 16
- Spring: March 16
- Summer: June 16
For information about hiring a research assistant, please visit this HR intranet site.
Student Assistant Performance Evaluations
Evaluations are required for all Academic Student Employees (ASE). To review detailed evaluation information and the schedule, please visit the HR intranet site. The GA crew help desk manager completes the evaluation forms for GA crew members and can be contacted regarding the performance of a GA crew member via email.
For faculty, in the My Class Resources section of MyUW for the quarter you are teaching, you can get your class list and check for schedule, class size, and grading options.
Please contact the academic services specialist with questions regarding My Class Resources. Please update the Final Exam information to match your class, and add your course web site URL when it is ready.
