Olivieri, an associate professor, has been employed at the University of West Georgia since 2012 and is currently the university's Head of Special Collections. In 2019, she was awarded the Faculty of the Year award. This is the highest honor that the university awards annually to one member of the professoriate for recognition of outstanding achievements.
