Information Booth
Welcome to iSchool Capstone 2020!
Have questions? We have answers!
*Join our live Information Booth in Zoom*
Capstone projects are the culmination of students’ learning experience at the iSchool. For their projects, Informatics, MLIS, and MSIM students identify real-world information problems. They then develop the approaches and methods required to address those problems, conduct research, and finally present their findings in both oral and written formats. Students collaborate with diverse organizations from the public, private and non-profit sectors. While students are encouraged to work in teams of their choosing, individual projects are also welcome.
Capstone Night is a celebration of student achievements that provides students the opportunity to present their projects to a wide audience: peers, faculty, alumni, project sponsors, prospective employers, industry partners, friends and family.
This year, Capstone Night is completely online. Students will present their projects as part of panel presentations. You can find a complete list of presenters in the Exhibition Hall. Panels are organized into three 30-minute sessions, with each session followed by a 10-minute break. Each panel will be hosted by a faculty moderator.
Please join in the fun of tonight’s gala by using the #iSchoolCapstone hashtag on Twitter, playing trivia in our Game Room, and exploring current and past projects in the Capstone archive. Then join us at the conclusion of the evening for a live address from Dean Anind Dey and the Director of iAffiliates, Dr. Sean McGann.
