Research Award
Over the past decade, there has been a significant shift in the narrative surrounding mental health in the US, with increased normalization and awareness thanks to media and education efforts. However, despite growing acknowledgment, a concerning number of individuals, particularly those from underserved communities, still do not seek treatment due to limited access and financial barriers. To address this, the Psychiatric Care Allocation Disparity data story built in partnership with JEEVA Health, shares visualizations of hospital reporting systems, analyzes patterns and trends, and advocates for policy change to create a more equitable mental health care landscape.
