Biography

Kristen Thayer is a Guest Faculty Member at the University of Washington Information School. She has spent more than eight years in software engineering, both as an individual contributor, and as an engineering manager. She enjoys solving interesting end-to-end problems (both with and without code), as well as helping engineering teams thrive and bring their best selves to work. She loves fiddling with things to see how they work: computers, games, crafts, plants, and more, and is always learning something. She strongly prefers that ChatGPT address her in poetry over prose.
