Biography

Louis Spinelli is a UW iSchool alum teaching in the Master of Science in Information Management Program. A leader in research and information architecture, Louis is passionate about accessible, inclusive, and impactful information and technology experiences. He is known for collaborative cross-functional project leadership on a global scale, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement that spans strategic and executional lifecycle phases for industry leaders. Recognizing the growing demand for high-quality information leaders, Louis focuses on equipping iSchool students to tackle complex issues in a fast changing world.

At Microsoft, Louis leads the definition and execution of metadata strategy for one of the largest documentation and learning ecosystems on the internet. He partners and collaborates with product owners, business leaders, information architects, engineers, data scientists, content teams, researchers, designers, and others to harness ML/AI, develop our knowledge graph, and more.
