Biography
Gary Carlson is a Guest Faculty Member at the University of Washington Information School, specializing in aligning information models with user and organizational goals. He is passionate about understanding the full context of information in highly complex digital and physical spaces. In his practice and teaching Gary focuses on building ethical and sustainable information foundations upon which organizations can share, manage, and re-use their information and knowledge with employees, customers, partners, and regulators.Gary has lead teams that have designed and built taxonomies, ontologies, governance processes, and user understanding for public, private and non-profit organizations.
