Yesterday UW iSchool advisory board member and Seattle city librarian Susan Hildreth was unanimously approved as Director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services by the US Senate. Hildreth will become the fourth director of the Institute. IMLS is the primary source of federal support for the country's 122,000 libraries and 17,500 museums.
