The Web Marketing Association announced the winners of its 17th annual WebAward Competition for website development, awarding the iSchool's website their Standard of Excellence in the university category.
More than 1,500 entries from 40 countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories during this year's competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.
The iSchool web team completed the redesign of the iSchool's website in nine months, using Drupal and incorporating responsive design. The new site launched in October 2012.
Members of the web team include:
- Lisa Gettings, web content manager and project lead
- Daisy Fry, graphic and web designer
- Nick West, web developer
- Lori Dugdale, communications director
Visits from mobile devices increased by 83% after the site launched and there was an 18% increase in page views.
