Microsoft Azure Machine Learning User Retention

Our team worked with the Microsoft Azure Machine Learning product team to improve the retention of deeply engaged customers on the AML platform. The project involved both qualitative and quantitative analysis of customer usage patterns, including customer interviews, telemetry data analysis, hypothesis building and testing. The result of our analysis serves as a good foundation to understand the needs and pain points of the customers and to come up with strategic ways of moving forward. It has the potential to help improve the user experience of the AML platform and allow AML to gain more competitive advantages in the market.

Olitor Dashboard

Poor diet is the most common preventable cause of death in people 65 or older. Recently, there has been a hike in apps that promote healthy diets, but most are not designed for the elderly population. Also, since the elderly are disproportionately affected by the pandemic's remote solutions, supporting their needs is more urgent than ever. Olitor is a scalable solution to help change the diets of elderly patients. The online solution would focus on behavioral change, providing patients with timely attention and care in sensitive times such as the pandemic without waiting months for a consultation appointment.

Predictive Analytics - Epic Games

Epic’s Unreal Engine is complex with a lot of documentation and courses. The content creators face difficulty finding the information they are looking for and thus, require dynamically recommended related documentation/courses based on the Unreal Online Learning (UOL) search. We built a predictive analytics tool to recommend similar documentation and courses based on the UOL journey map of the user, working with terms from the taxonomies and knowledge graph. Our project helps users from different backgrounds to identify documentation easily, enabling equitable access to the tool. It also provides a personalized search experience for the user.

Project Breaking The Barrier

The International Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center (Seattle, WA) is host to about 10,000 patients a year. Its most remarkable quality is that the vast majority of their patients speak a primary language other than English. Our project is aimed at facilitating the viral infection screening experience for patients, in their native language. We built an application with visual and auditory cues in seven different languages, in addition to creating educational materials in an accessible format for the patients. Our work will ensure equitable access to healthcare for patients that are typically aged 60-80 and have low technical dexterity.

Project Inclusion - Centralizing inclusive employer related information using data mining & NLP

A significant challenge for people with disabilities is the lack of awareness around accessible employers, programs, and opportunities within the community. Additionally, the information they seek on inclusive hiring practices, benefits, accommodations, and company culture is scattered across multiple sources. Our application uses data mining techniques on company blogs, Twitter, Glassdoor, YouTube, etc., to aggregate such information, and, in doing so, empowers the underserved disabled community to make more informed job-search decisions. The application also aims to help employers identify gaps in the information they provide, thus bringing them closer to diverse candidates' needs.

Revealing Connection: Creating a Knowledge Graph for Epic Games

Epic Games maintains documentation and learning courses for Unreal Engine, a 3D creation tool. Many users find it difficult to search and navigate between these materials. We developed a unified data model that identifies overlaps in the metadata and relationship classes between documentation and online courses. This model formed the foundation of a knowledge graph of 2,700 documentation pages and 130 courses built with Neo4j. Analyzing the knowledge graph reveals dynamic connections. As Epic continues to build on our framework, content creators will be able to identify tags and linkages, bringing relevant material together and delivering relevant content to users.

Security Review Process for Microsoft’s Mixed Reality team

Microsoft’s Mixed Reality team needs to integrate a document management system (DMS) into their organization for managing policy documents. Due to the sensitive nature of the team, the DMS must meet functional needs and baseline security requirements. Team Infognito developed a security review process and evaluated the security posture of multiple platforms. We recommended ServiceNow GRC based on our evaluation. The process provides the necessary tools for Mixed Reality to evaluate any third-party platform without having to create a new process each time. It is a scalable process which standardizes the procedures for application approval and saves the organization’s resources.

Sourcing additional information on private equity transactions

The world of private equity (PE), already formidable in size, is expected to see continued rapid growth in the coming years. Global PE assets under management are forecast to reach US$5.8 trillion by 2025. PitchBook tasked us with identifying additional sources of private-market info to supplement their robust information-architecture. Specifically, PitchBook requested publicly available, granular information pertaining to the investments made by an individual fund of an investor, known as deal-to-fund tagging.

Tracking Online Disinformation on Social Media

The advent of social media has led to users unable to distinguish between misleading and real information. To tackle this, we have developed an online disinformation mapping tool that extracts data from Twitter for any user-defined hashtag, classifies it as real or fake, and then visualizes the spread of misinformation for that topic. Our project is aimed to help journalists, political entities, and responsible citizens by raising awareness and promoting informed decision-making.
