Rose Schreier Welton
M.Lib, 1987
Rose retired in November 2013 from the Alaska State Library in Juneau, after working there for 23 years as a Catalog Librarian.
Paige Andrew
MLIS, 1986
In September 2023, Paige was concluding an almost 37-year career as a maps cataloger. His first position a few months after graduating was at the University of Georgia Library, where he spent 8+ years learning how to catalog maps. He was hired by the Pennsylvania State University Libraries in February 1995. He earned tenure in 2001, was promoted to Librarian rank (equivalent to Professor) in 2012, and was named Distinguished Librarian in 2018.
He reports: "I am waiting word on whether I will be named an Emeritus Librarian, and hope that the university grants this honor. I look forward to the next stage of my life, including especially being a grandfather to our 9-month-old granddaughter as she grows up and maybe becomes a librarian some day too!"
Janet Hauck

Janet is the University Archivist at the Whitworth University Archives in Spokane, WA. Janet has previously served as president of Northwest Archivists, Inc.
Loren Hagen

In 2013, Loren retired after 27 years of working as the Head Catalog Librarian at The United Library at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL.
Gregg Sapp
MLIS, 1985
As of 2023, Gregg reports having completed six books in his "Holidazed" series of satirical novels. To date, he has published “New Year’s Eve, 1999,” “Halloween from the Other Side,” “The Christmas Donut Revolution,” “Upside Down Independence Day,” “Murder by Valentine Candy," and "Thanksgiving, Thanksgotten, Thanksgone." Previous books include his dollar store epic, "Dollarapalooza" (Switchgrass Books, 2011) and “Fresh News Straight from Heaven,” which is based on the folklore of Johnny Appleseed (Evolved 2018).
Cecilia McGowan

Cecilia is the 2019-20 president of ALSC, the Association of Library Service to Children. This ALA division confers many prestigious awards, including the Newbery, Caldecott and Sibert.
Marjorie Doyle

In 2021, Marjorie reports that she continues to volunteer at Missoula Public Library in its Memory Cafe program that she helped start five years earlier. She also trains volunteers in various areas and frequently recommend new programs for consideration. Marjorie retired as a reference librarian from the library in 2015.

Barbara is now retired.
Cheryl Goodwin

Cheryl is currently the Director of Institutional Assessment & Library Services at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. Prior to that, she spent 24 years as a medical librarian at hospitals throughout the Puget Sound.
Eric Palo
M.Lib, 1982
Eric retired as director of the library at Renton Technical College in 2016 and moved to McMinnville Oregon. Since then, he has occasionally filled in part-time as the librarian for the Wilsonville campus of the Oregon Institute of Technology. He continues as an accreditation evaluator for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
