Heather (Wilder) Pretty

In October 2014, Heather was appointed as the coordinator for the Program for Cooperative Cataloging's new Atlantic Canada NACO Funnel.
Brian Bannon
MLIS, 1999
In 2012, Brian was appointed as the Commissioner of the Chicago Public Library. In a press releasing announcing his appointment, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said, “Brian Bannon has the experience and vision to lead the Chicago Public Library and guide its expansion in the digital world,” and “it is more important than ever that our libraries provide children, students and families with resources to learn and grow. With his expertise in digital technology, Brian will expand the online resources of the Chicago Public Library and broaden the horizons of those who rely on it.”
In 2017, he was named a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, an educational and policy studies organization. The fellowship is aimed at mobilizing leaders under age 45 to tackle the world's most intractable problems.
Previously, Brian was the Chief Information Officer for the San Francisco Public Library, responsible for its digital strategy, information technology, web media, and online services. Brian also worked as the chief of branches, managed the staff and operations for San Francisco's neighborhood libraries, and had a central role in implementing San Francisco's $200 million branch library improvement program.

Dana Bostrom

Dana is the new executive director of the Orbis Cascade Alliance, a consortium of 39 college and university libraries in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
Frederick Brown
MLIS, 1999
Frederick is an independent historian based in Seattle and has written histories for the National Park Service. His new book, "The City is More Than Human: An Animal History of Seattle," was recently published by the University of Washington Press.
Debbie Chavez

Debbie started a nonprofit, Libraries for the World, to create libraries in areas of the world that don't have easy access to books.
Kari Costello

Kari works as a case aide for a foster care agency. She loves the kids and cares about the work. She is also open to professional opportunities.
Andrea Gonzalez (Cooper)
MLIS, 1999
Andrea began working as a library media technician in 2018 at Marvin Dutcher Middle School in Turlock, California. Prior to this position, Andrea worked as a youth services librarian for the Sacramento Public Library System and as a Librarian II for the Stockton/San Joaquin Public Library System.
Tammy Siebenberg

Tammy was promoted to Director of Library & Media Services at Yakima Valley Community College in May 2015.
Kathy Swart

Kathy published a conference proceedings paper in Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (LXII) and has a book chapter in the 2020 ACRL publication, Intersections of Open Educational Resources and Information Literacy.
