Brendan Ribera

Informatics, 2007

Brendan creates tech startups in Seattle at Madrona Venture Labs. Previously, he founded PaperKarma (acquired in 2013).

Evan Robb

MLIS, 2007

As of 2024, Evan was a Digital Repository Librarian at the Washington State Library where he co-coordinates Northwest Digital Heritage, a Digital Public Library of America service hub aggregating records from more than 250 institutions in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Betsy Rolland

MLIS, 2007

Betsy is the director of team science and research development for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Carbone Cancer Center and Institute for Clinical and Translational Research. In this role, she trains cancer researchers and translational scientists on conducting team-science research, develops and delivers interventions to help struggling teams, and conducts research on how to support collaborative research. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) at the UW in 2013.

Erin Sharwell

MLIS, 2007

As of 2025,  Erin had been appointed Deputy Assistant Director, Access and Fulfillment Services at Princeton University Libraries in Princeton, New Jersey. In this role, Erin takes the lead in maximizing circulation functionality and fulfillment performance of the Library’s automated systems, and has primary responsibility for assessment and planning of library access, circulation, and fulfillment services. She coordinates the operation, support, and evaluation/assessment of library services throughout the Library system, and spearheads the implementation of new systems to enhance operational efficiency and improve the user experience

Reed is the Director of Library Services for Braille Institute. Headquartered in Los Angeles, Braille Institute is one of the largest and oldest service organizations for people living with low vision and blindness in the U.S.

As of 2024, Karen retired after 27 years at KUOW Public Radio.

Amy Vecchione

MLIS, 2007

In 2022, Amy completed a book on collaborating for student success. She also took a new position as Associate Director for Research and Innovation of eCampus Center at Boise State.

Jeffrey Winter

MLIS, 2007

Jeffrey is working as the digitization project librarian for the Washington State Department of Transportation. He has created an online library of transportation-related documents, using CONTENTdm as the platform, that currently holds more than 2,100 items in 18 themed collections.

Kevin Wong

Informatics, 2007

In 2013, Kevin was promoted to Director of Product Design at Livefyre, a growing startup located in the heart of the Bay Area that creates next-generation real-time experiences for publishers and marketers. He leads a team of visual and interaction designers who help the business by defining and building all of their products on the platform. Kevin is also an advisor for Groove, another startup, which focuses on enterprise sales enablement by integrating Salesforce data with Google Apps.
