Shawn McGaff

Informatics, 2010

Shawn is running two companies. One is a digital marketing agency and the other is a content marketing and media production company. They build websites, run ad campaigns, provide writing, videos, and photos and guide companies as they bring products to market. He just started a new service of using drones to provide aerial photos and videos.

Elizabeth Mitchell

MLIS, 2010

Elizabeth is a Senior Metadata Librarian at ProQuest in Seattle, and is taking professional development courses on Linked Data and Big Data.

Kathleen Monks

MLIS, 2010

In 2014, Kathleen became Head of Instruction Services at the University of Washington, Tacoma. Kathleen was also named a 2013 ALA Emerging Leader, and worked from 2012-2013 as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID.

Jennifer Morales

MLIS, 2010

Since graduating from the iSchool, Jennifer's career has been diverse, including working as a Catalog Specialist for Amazon Kindle and an Indexer for Microsoft Project. Jennifer works for Google Maps in Bothell, WA, providing administrative support and developing information products (websites and content) to a Program Management Group.

Michael Mungin

MLIS, 2010

In 2023, Michael reports, "I crossed a big one off my bucket list. I'm in a book! My chapter, 'Reflections on Culturally Humble Practice in Bibliography, Scholarship, and Readers’ Advisory: A Case Study,' was published in the ALA Editions book 'Hopeful Visions, Practical Actions: Cultural Humility in Library Work.'"

Thomas Ng

Informatics, 2010

As of 2020, Thomas is working as a Research Product Manager at Facebook Reality Labs Research (FRL-R) in Redmond, driving teams performing long-term AI and HCI-related research for future AR products, defining future product visions that take advantage of these nascent opportunities, and driving incubation efforts to mature and transfer these technologies into shipping products.

Philip Phung

Informatics, 2010

As of 2024 Philip was a Senior Solutions Engineer at Disney for the Ad Platforms Technical Operations team. He has built internal support tools for the Ad Operations team as well as provide his technical expertise in supporting Advertising Account Managers across various branches within the company. Previously, Philip was hired on directly with ESPN before merging with the parent company, Disney. He focuses primarily in front-end web development utilizing his knowledge in UX Design, Data Visualization, QA Testing.

Jessie is working as a manuscript cataloguer with the Robbins Collection at the University of California Berkeley's School of Law (Boalt Hall).

Chris is working as a UX design lead at Google, designing Android developer tools. Chris was previously an interaction designer at Microsoft, designing for Hololens, Cortana and Visual Studio Code.

Michael works as a people manager with AT&T's college-hiring Technology Development Program, where he is responsible for the growth of the program through the hiring of college graduates and interns. He says, "I am passionate about recruitment, assessment and career coaching of new talent to make an impact at AT&T."
