Margaret Ansell
MLIS, 2012
In 2021, Margaret was awarded promotion and tenure at the University of Florida. Margaret is currently serving as the Associate Chair of the Gainesville Health Science Center Library at the rank of Associate University Librarian.
Shannon Becker
Informatics, 2012
As of 2020, Shannon works as a Scrum Master, recently becoming a Release Train Engineer at Safeco Insurance.
Bethany Black
MLIS, 2012
As of 2024, Bethany was in her third year as a teacher librarian at Glacier Middle School (Highline Public Schools).
Kawanna Bright
MLIS, 2012
Kawanna earned her Ph.D. in 2018 at the University of Denver in Research Methods & Statistics and is now an assistant professor at East Carolina University. In 2021, she and colleagues were awarded an IMLS grant for a project titled Identifying Opportunities for Retention of BIPOC Librarians Using Survival Analysis.
Freeda Brook
MLIS, 2012
Freeda is the Acquisitions and Resource Management Librarian at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Prior to this, she worked at Roosevelt University in Chicago at the Scholarly Communications Librarian and the Head of User Services. Freeda has also taught courses for Library Juice Academy and in the MLIS program at the iSchool.
Carl Burnett

Carl works as an Ontology Engineer at Healthwise, a nonprofit producer of consumer health information, located in Boise.
Sarah Caldwell
MLIS, 2012
Sarah is a Senior Research Librarian with the Congressional Research Service (CRS) in Washington, D.C., where she works on policy areas such as immigration and federal child care. Sarah was initially hired by CRS as part of the organization’s graduate recruit program.
Michael Carpenter
MLIS, 2012
Michael is working at Tableau, overseeing its global sales enablement content strategy. It aligns digital resources, asynchronous sales coaching, and e-learning programs with sellers around the world.
Susan Castelin
MLIS, 2012
Sue retired as an assistant librarian from the Pierce County Law Library in 2021. Her work was varied with a small staff, and included helping patrons, helping establish satellite law sections in the Pierce County Library System, and helping staff set up ebooks and other material on the library's website. In 2023, she reports: "I had a great experience working with a dedicated staff. Now, I'm spending time with family and grandchildren."
Warren Chin

As of 2021, Warren was a children services librarian at Seattle Public Library's Columbia Branch, the same library where he volunteered in high school.
