Melissa Gill
MLIS, 2013
As of 2025, Melissa was serving as Head of Metadata Strategy at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, where she lead cross-institutional efforts to align metadata practices and infrastructure. In addition, Melissa taught a graduate-level metadata course in UCLA’s MLIS program.
Sofie Gogic
MLIS, 2013
Sofie works as a manager for marketing operations for UW Medicine, helping the team procure and implement a new project management system. She is also spearheading a reorganization of physical and digital enterprise collections.
Jennifer Gonzalez
MLIS, 2013
Jennifer is a Librarian / Legal Information Analyst with the Law Library of Congress and successfully coordinated a remote metadata internship over the summer with 70 law and library students, including several UW iSchool students.
Kate Hagan

Kate recently joined the team at Delightful Communications as the Digital Marketing Program Manager. Focusing on personal branding and strategic content, her latest projects involve innovative new technologies including strategic search with Bing Ads and the Microsoft IoT.

Claudia is the Youth Services Librarian at the Homer Public Library in Homer, Alaska. She recently co-authored the white paper "Media Mentorship in Libraries Serving Youth" for the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC).

Lauren works as a Service Performance Manager for Manufacturing & Supply Chain IT at Microsoft.
Molly Higgins

Molly recently took a new job as Digital Services Librarian at the Library of Congress.
Meran Hill

Meran was promoted to Interaction Design Specialist with Fjord in November 2015.
Elizabeth Houser

Elizabeth was recently promoted to Security Operations Manager at DefenseStorm, a security data platform that aggregates event data and keeps financial institutions secure and compliant with evolving FFIEC cybersecurity requirements. She currently serves on the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Advisory Committee for Edmonds Community College and was awarded Volunteer of the Year for King County Sheriff's Office in 2015.
Curtis Howell

Curtis joined Lyra Health (lyrahealth.com) as a Product Manager. Lyra is a startup that's transforming behavioral health care through technology with a human touch. Previously, he was at Redfin working in its San Francisco office as a Senior Product Manager on the Customer Engagement team.
