Elizabeth Brookbank
MLIS, 2013
Elizabeth is an instruction librarian at Western Oregon University, where she has been since just a couple months after graduation in 2013.
Some highlights: In 2018, she was promoted to associate professor and granted tenure. In summer 2019, the book she co-wrote with UW librarian Faye Christenberry was published by MLA. And beginning this November she embarks upon her first research sabbatical, during which she will conduct a qualitative research study on student reading habits and use of recreational reading collections in academic libraries in the U.S. and U.K.
Dylan Bussone

Dylan works as a software engineer at Zillow.
Jeff Cairns

Jeff started working at Apptio as an analyst, then moved to a SQL support engineer as a contractor at Microsoft, where he supported advertising on Bing.com. He then moved to a DevOps and support engineer role at Carbonite Inc., where he supported a desktop application that backed up files to a cloud or on-premises database. He is currently a developer support specialist at Intellipro Group Inc., where he provides technical support to Google.
Parmit Chilana
PhD, 2013
Parmit is now an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University in Canada. Previously, Parmit was an Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo.
Jonathan Colman
MSIM, 2013
As of 2023, Jonathon had moved to Ireland, where he was working as a senior design manager a content design practice lead at HubSpot.
Richard Counsil

In 2015, Richard started working as a Teen Services Librarian at the Seattle Public Library. Richard has worked for SPL in various roles since 2010.
Kat Cuff

As of 2021, Kat was Director of Provider Relations, overseeing a team of librarians based in the U.S. and Israel, for Ex Libris, a ProQuest company.
Oscar Cummings

As of 2021, Oscar was working at T-Mobile as a Principal Systems Design Engineer.
Steve DeBroux
MSIM, 2013
Steve is at Seattle Genetics, a global biotechnology company that discovers, develops and commercializes transformative medicines targeting cancer. He currently works with the pharmacovigilance (patient safety) team as a senior BI analyst, providing adverse event data reporting in support of signal evaluation, risk management, and regulatory submissions.
Alpha DeLap
MLIS, 2013
Alpha is the teacher-librarian and media specialist for grades 2-8 at the St. Thomas School in Medina, Washington. In 2018, she was selected to the 2020 Newbery Book Award Committee.
