Michael Wallenfels
MLIS, 2016
As of 2022, Michael was working as the Communications Manager for the Washington State Arts Agency. He is also the Public Records Officer for the agency, which is one the reasons he uses his MLIS on a daily basis. He reports: "I joined the agency as a Program Assistant and was promoted to my current role after six months. I have helped the agency launch a podcast and a new statewide program for veterans."

Emily recently was hired at GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO (formerly YBP Library Services) as a Cataloging Bibliographer.
Leigh Wilkinson

Leigh recently celebrated a one-year anniversary as a children's librarian with the Brooklyn Public Library.
Vivyan Woods
Informatics, 2016
In her year after graduating from the iSchool, Vivyan became a software engineer at Cisco Systems. She also has a book being released with NineStar Press in January 2018. The book is set on the UW campus and surrounding area with scenes inspired by some of her experiences on campus.
Antony Zhong

Antony is currently a security consulting analyst at Adventure, traveling the world and solving security problems one at a time.
Amber Amin
Informatics, 2015
Amber is living in Portland, working as a product manager at Nike on the Nike Football (soccer) app. She is also continuing to work on her Capstone project, Achilles, with her original team.
Azri Azmi
Informatics, 2015
As of 2025, Azri started a new position as lead Engineer in SEEK, a global leader in online employment marketplaces, based in Australia and Malaysia. Their current role focuses on platform and feature development for the native Android app used by employment candidates. They also have been a MongoDB Champion since 2024.
Megan Barnes
MLIS, 2015
As of 2025 Megan had just published an article titled, "Artificial intelligence policies in K-12 school districts in the United States: a content analysis shaping education policy" with Dr. Lauren Eutsler (UNT) and Ph.D students Brittany Musgraves-Rivera (UNT) and Julie Cummings (UNT).
Sarah Bavier

As of 2024 Sarah was the Digital Asset Manager at Wieden+Kennedy. Previously, she was the Visual Resources Librarian at Reed College.
Katherine Bouchard
MLIS, 2015
As of 2025, Katherine has been working at the Latah County Library District as the youth services manager in Moscow, ID. She plans and oversee youth programming, and manage the youth collection for our district as well as developing community partnerships and finding outreach opportunities.
