Sohrab Seera
Informatics, 2020
Sohrab is the CEO and founder of Computing ReApplied, a company that he began in 2019. His report:
"Computing ReApplied builds solutions aimed to modernize the medical research process. Our first product, myMedDiary, is a system that collects patient data – through our mobile application – and pipelines that data into an online data analytics platform for medical professionals. Our first product launch on May 1, 2021, was focused on patient dietary capture and symptoms logging, but we intend to templatize and allow customization of the technology based on the needs of medical professionals we serve.
"Our target customers are medical research institutions, particularly Gastroenterology and Hepatology departments. Through online and on-the-ground market research, we’ve determined that these departments have an immediate need for efficient medical health research processes. Many GI and Hep departments currently operate through costly and burdensome pen-and-paper data collection and analysis. myMedDiary solves this expensive multiple weeks long problem in just a few milliseconds by providing a mobile UI for patients to log data and a web platform for medical professionals to configure / administer studies and run analyses.
"Just recently we were accepted into the exclusive Microsoft B2B incubator, Microsoft for Startups! Along with Microsoft's generous contribution of $120,000 in Azure credits, we are able now able to sell our solutions through the Microsoft Marketplace! This will further expand our ability as a company to focus on helping hospitals and research institutes alike easily integrate our platforms with theirs, especially if they already utilize Microsoft solutions.
