Biography

Sabrina is a visiting professor in the University of Washington iSchool’s LIS program. She is the past chair of AASL’s National School Library Program of the Year (Awards Committee (SLPY) and past chair for the state of Virginia’s Intellectual Freedom Committee. She writes young adult literature reviews for several national library review journals, which molded her alignment in actions that provide youth a powerful impact with literature. Sabrina has also worked in education for the past four decades. She has held certification in diagnostic reading and is currently certified as a school librarian and is a National Board Certified Teacher. She has achieved ABD status as a doctoral student at Virginia’s Old Dominion University, with plans to complete her PhD studies in 2022.
