Biography

Michelle Carter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship at Washington State University, based in Everett, WA. She holds a Ph.D. in Management (Information Systems) from Clemson University. Her work has appeared in journals such as MIS Quarterly, ACM Transactions on Management Information Systems, the European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Communications of the AIS, and MISQ Executive, as well as several conference proceedings and book chapters. Her research investigates the involvement of IT in identity, humanness, and social change in an increasingly digital world.
